Restorative Nursing Assistant - RNA / CNA Majestic Care of Cedar Village is looking for a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team's mission and believe in our core values! Position Overview: The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) plays a vital role in supporting residents to maintain or improve their physical, psychological, and functional abilities. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing or rehabilitation staff, the RNA provides restorative care, assists with therapeutic activities, and ensures adherence to personalized care plans. This position focuses on improving residents' quality of life through mobility training, exercise programs, and support for daily living activities. Key Responsibilities: Implement individualized restorative care plans as prescribed by licensed staff to meet residents’ rehabilitation goals. Range of Motion Splint or Brace Assistance (Amputation/Prosthetic Care) Functional Mobility (transfers, bed mobility, ambulation) Activities of Daily Living (dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting) Eating and/or swallowing (Restorative/Assisted Dining/Free Water) Communication, breath support, and wellness Assist residents in mobility exercises, walking programs, range-of-motion exercises, and use of adaptive equipment. Provide support for therapeutic activities aimed at improving independence and functionality in daily tasks. Observe residents’ progress and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing or rehabilitation team. Maintain accurate documentation of restorative services provided and residents’ progress in compliance with facility protocols. Assist residents with feeding, grooming, and other activities of daily living as part of restorative care. Promote a safe and comfortable environment for residents during restorative care activities. Provide encouragement and motivation to residents to achieve their restorative goals. Train residents in proper techniques for mobility and transfers while ensuring safety. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes. Clean and maintain restorative equipment and therapy areas as needed. Participate in team meetings and contribute to care plan updates. Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations. Providing feedback to the interdisciplinary team about status changes of residents receiving therapy. Scheduling and prioritizing workload in collaboration with the Rehab Director. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing. Position Overview: The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.
