Responsibilities Our Registered Nurses in Labor & Delivery independently perform clinical care to patients. Working with a dedicated team, the Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, high quality care in labor & delivery, OB operating room, and triage area. Primary care of the antepartum and immediate post-partum High risk obstetrical patient, and serves as a resource for other team members. Our Labor and Delivery Unit, part of the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center at Mercy performs between 250-300 births per month.
