Monitors the utilization of resources of all patients reviewed. Working with clients, family and friend support networks and health care professionals to put care plans in place. Evaluating clients' progress daily and making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes. Maintains confidential communication with physicians and multi-disciplinary personnel to meet individual needs or the patients served. Functions as an independent contributor as well as a team member. Position Qualification: Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Possess three or more years of acute care hospital experience preferred. Familiar with the operations of the healthcare industry and healthcare delivery systems. Able to use the medical record in order to obtain clinical information to perform Interqual reviews. Utilize Outlook, and the computer based systems to perform reviews/CM assessments/CM tasks. Work experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Critical Care, and/or Pediatrics, NICU preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Florida RN Licensure BLS Certification. Must possess a solid clinical background to accomplish extensive Medical Record review. Nursing care delivered complies with objectives and policies of the hospital. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering nursing care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team member to provide age/ developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Performs nursing techniques for the comforts and well-being of the patient. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Assists in planning, supervising, and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and E.D. Techs, thereby providing care to a number of patients. Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Nursing care delivered complies with the objective and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Prepares equipment and assist physician during treatment and examination of patients. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with the unit specific standards. Nurses are required to float within the floating cluster for NICU (Nursery) after six months of experience in NICU. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor. Position Qualifications: One (1) year of acute hospital experience preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Florida Registered Nurse license. Holds a current BLS card. Holds a current NRP card within 3 months if new to area. Holds a current S.T.A.B.L.E. card within 3 months if new to area.
