A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). this role is an educator / risk management focused position. Duties Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities and quality of care oversight. Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds. Support compliance efforts and maintain clear communication across all nursing staff levels. Ensure all resident nursing and medical needs are met. Provide 24-hour on-call coverage. Coordinate and direct overall nursing service planning. Apply comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and clinical practice. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of medical records. Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing personnel. Manage the daily staffing process and infection control protocols. Maintain schedule flexibility to address unpredictable operational needs. Requirements Active State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings. 2 years of management experience preferred. 1 year of staff education experience preferred. Strong communication, basic leadership, and supervisory skills. Ability to work flexible hours.
