The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards. What you will do: Our highly trained team attends every C-Section and high-risk delivery and commonly treats respiratory distress, sepsis (overwhelming infections), hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and complications of prematurity. The expert care provided by St. Mary’s NICU allows families to keep their babies close by and in the same building as the Family Birth Center.
