Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist - Quality

DEFINITION: Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Ancillary Services, coordinates and implements the infection control policies, supervises the multiple facets of the infection control program for Comanche County Memorial Hospital by providing an environment that is optimally safe from increasing the incidence of unnecessary complication, such as infections, while a patient is in the hospital; a visitor in the hospital or an employee of the hospital by interacting directly with the various departments in the hospital as well as the physician and reports to the Infection Control Committee on the infection surveillance, prevention, and control program that is under his oversight.
