This vacancy will be posted on internal Career Website for 10 work days. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees. Reporting to the Medical Division Director and Nursing Leadership, the Clinical Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a key member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist Division clinical team and provides a full range of direct or collaborative obstetrical and gynecological health care services. The Nurse Practitioner will assess and provide care to a selected group of patients in collaboration with physicians. Also, will provide general gynecologic care including but not limited to annual well woman exams, pap smears, and contraceptive counseling among other comprehensive family planning duties; inpatient low risk obstetric evaluations, post-partum management; disability/return to work clearance, and same day gynecologic consultations. The incumbent will carry out the plan of care for their patient panel, participate in performance improvement activities, maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise, and demonstrate leadership skills. The Clinical Nurse Practitioner also participates as an active member in team meetings, office flow improvement and QI/QA; documents all clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner per protocols and Joint Commission standards and collaborates with other healthcare professionals & sub-specialties inclusive of complex family planning; and other duties as assigned by the Medical Division Director and Nursing Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and records a complete physical examination and gynecologic procedures per clinical standards
  • Obtains and records a complete health history
  • Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures and tests within the scope of privileging
  • In collaboration with physicians and other health care providers, coordinates care of patients and evaluates plan of care and patient toward health goals and modifies plan of care accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned by department leadership

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or post Masters Certificate in specialty as a nurse practitioner; or a combination of education and experience that is acceptable to N.Y, State Education Department and the Director of Nursing and/ or Chairman of the Department, or Division Director
  • NYS License for registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN
  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner certification and registration
  • National certification in nurse practitioner specialty (ie: ANCC or AANP) required
  • 2-5 years satisfactory Registered Professional Nurse experience
  • Previous experience working in OB-GYN & Women's Health
  • Prenatal nonstress testing experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of obstetric care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion and empathy

Overview Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine invite applications for the role of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division Director. This pivotal leadership position encompasses oversight of clinical services (inpatient and outpatient), educational programs, and research initiatives within the MFM Division. The Director will spearhead efforts to enhance patient care quality, foster academic excellence, improve community outreach, and drive innovation in maternal-fetal health. THE POSITION: Appointed by the Department Chair and reporting to the Vice Chair of Maternal Child Health, the Division Director serves as the physician head of the clinical, academic, and educational programs for the MFM Division within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health. The Director will provide strategic leadership to faculty, fellows, and staff, develop a vision for the future of the division, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. THE DIVISION: The MFM Division at Montefiore serves a diverse population in the Bronx and southern Westchester counties and is a Regional Perinatal Center. Overview The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health (OBGYN & WH) is seeking a dynamic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist with solid clinical and academic experience to join the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Medical Staff of Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, New York. They will join the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division within one of the largest OBGYN & WH departments and residency programs in the country. Experience and expertise in fetal medicine/ultrasound from an AIUM certified facility is preferred along with a strong aptitude for, and commitment to, high risk, complex cases The Maternal Fetal Medicine division provides care to patients throughout the Bronx and southern Westchester counties. There are currently 9 attendings, 8 Fellows and 1 PA dedicated to inpatient service. In collaboration with the Generalist division, the Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists co-manage the Labor & Delivery service across two hospitals with levels 3 and 4 NICU, averaging 5,100 total deliveries per year. Overview The Hematology Division of the Department of Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a candidate for full-time Clinical Hematologist / Clinical Researcher faculty position in our Division of Hematology at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Our ideal candidate will have interests in the care and management of patients with thrombosis, bleeding disorders, autoimmune hematologic disorders, complementopathies, hemoglobinopathies, and general nonmalignant hematology. We are a large group of 8 classical Hematologists, with a funded Hemophilia Treatment Center and a Sickle Cell Center; we maintain a Women’s Blood Disorders Clinic, a Thrombosis Program, an Immunohematology Program and an Iron Infusion Program. The candidate would be expected to participate in and develop their own clinical/epidemiologic research and/or clinical trials.
