Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular (ARU) RN plays a pivotal role in patient care, acting as a bridge between doctors, patients and families.

 

The Admit Recovery Unit RN is part of a supportive, collaborative team that provides superior patient care, in a highly skilled, fast paced environment.  The ARU RN is responsibile for pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery of invasive cardiology patients, receiving clinically advanced, lifesaving cardiac cath and electrophysiology procedures.

 

This role is Monday-Friday, 12 hour day shift, with a late stay rotation; no weekends, no holidays, and no call.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

    • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

  • BSN degree
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you are responsible for maintaining the efficient functioning of designated nursing units on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. Qualifications Minimum requirements: Requires current RN licensure. At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership. 1 year of previous management experience. Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
