What you will do in this role: 

  • You willdemonstrateyour nursingspecialtyadvanced knowledge, skills and understanding of theunique aspects of the population served in the care of yourpatients. 
  • As a float poolnurseyou willutilizeyourspecialized skills andunit specific competencies. 
  • You will oversee and directthe care of CNA’s and assistive personnel,maintainingfinal accountability for the care given to assigned patients. 
  • Youmay rotate toother areasother than yournormally assigned service area/s, andwill perform only those duties for which you havedemonstratedcompetency. 

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. 
  • Current BLS withAmerican Heart Association or American Red Crossfor all Float Pool Registered Nursesrequired 
  • Additionalcertificationsrequiredbased on specialty unit (ACLS, PALS, STABLE, TNCC, ENPC and/or NRP). 
  • Graduateofan Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable. 
  • Twoyears’nursingexperienceminimum with specialty in acute carerequired.Experience requirements are specific to positions and departments asappropriate. 
  • Must have L/D experience, Postpartum, and NICU experience.
