Other duties as required Overview Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse); Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)

Short Description The Clinical Nurse Manager applies knowledge, leadership skills, and clinical judgment to effectively support daily operations of the medical surgical unit. Facilitate timely and appropriate bed assignments in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize unit-based throughput, ensuring fair, safe, and balanced clinical workloads using available data and technology. Support nursing-sensitive quality indicators (NDNQI) by promoting effective care coordination, identifying and addressing gaps in care, preventing potential errors from reaching the bedside. Serve as a mentor and role model by fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth. Empower clinical staff to develop patient-centered solutions and practice to the full scope of their licensure through ongoing support and engagement. Optimize the use of clinical and operational resources to ensure safe, high-quality, and fiscally responsible care delivery. Promote sustainable practices and staffing efficiency to support patient outcomes and organizational goals. Partner with the Clinical Director to deliver timely, constructive feedback and coaching that supports professional development, promotes behavior aligned with organizational standards, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. May be required to take a patient care assignment if this support is necessary. The shifts are 12 hours to align with the shift of the nursing unit. Overview Kelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych. To support our staff are Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care, through put, and assignments. Nurses who are staffed on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, which will allow competent and safe care for our complex patient populations. Experience Required Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities. 3-5 years of experience preferred. Education Requirements High School/GED required. Bachelor's Degree required from an NLN accredited school of nursing. License/Certification Requirements NJ-RN: Current NJ RN license. BLS from AHA required. ACLS from AHA required. CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred. Special Requirements Part time, 7pm-7am, rotating weekends and holidays required.
