ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in our Vascular Surgery practice at our Christiana Hospital location. This position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with no weekend commitment.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates preparation for patients planned for vascular surgery/procedures.
  • Facilitates a strong consistent clinical presence in all phases of patient care.
  • Reviews and retrieves data pertinent to patient’s medical history.
  • Performs and records physical assessment in response to consult and collaborates with physicians and other members of the medical staff on plan of care.
  • Screens patient to determine need for urgent medical attention.
  • Evaluates need to changes in patient therapy.
  • Writes orders and modifies treatment plans.
  • Prescribes medication with credentials provided by the Joint Practice Committee of the Delaware Board of Medical Practice.
  • Provides education and instruction to patients regarding care.
  • Plans appropriate discharge plans.
  • Assesses medical needs pre and post procedures.
  • Actively participates in other aspects of Vascular specialty care.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree as an Advance Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
  • Licensure or license eligible as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant as set forth by the state of Delaware
  • Prescriptive authority required in Delaware
  • Certification in BCLS
  • Experience in specialty as an advanced practice clinician preferred but will consider new graduate with procedural and/or critical care background.

Annual Compensation Range $120,255.00 - $147,707.00

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
