ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in our Vascular Surgery practice at our Christiana Hospital location. This position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with no weekend commitment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitates preparation for patients planned for vascular surgery/procedures.
Facilitates a strong consistent clinical presence in all phases of patient care.
Reviews and retrieves data pertinent to patient’s medical history.
Performs and records physical assessment in response to consult and collaborates with physicians and other members of the medical staff on plan of care.
Screens patient to determine need for urgent medical attention.
Evaluates need to changes in patient therapy.
Writes orders and modifies treatment plans.
Prescribes medication with credentials provided by the Joint Practice Committee of the Delaware Board of Medical Practice.
Provides education and instruction to patients regarding care.
Plans appropriate discharge plans.
Assesses medical needs pre and post procedures.
Actively participates in other aspects of Vascular specialty care.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree as an Advance Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
Licensure or license eligible as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant as set forth by the state of Delaware
Prescriptive authority required in Delaware
Certification in BCLS
Experience in specialty as an advanced practice clinician preferred but will consider new graduate with procedural and/or critical care background.

Annual Compensation Range $120,255.00 - $147,707.00

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
