Charts, dictates patient visits. Orders necessary procedures for patient's condition. Monitor care for patients under treatment, completion of treatment and at follow up.
Reinforce physician's advice to patients regarding reactions to treatment and care. Involves patient and family in planning process. Identifies learning barriers, readiness to learn and cultural issues that can impact learning for patient and family.
Educates patients regarding medical condition, providing specific educational material. Conducts patient orientation, and counsels patients on psychosocial conditions and refers when appropriate.
Review findings and reinforces radiation oncologist's advice regarding treatments, medical condition, and overall care.
Maintains educated on specific radiation oncology issues by certification. Attends tumor conferences and participates in interdepartmental meetings. Maintains a liaison with other disciplines.
Assures fiscal compliance related to patient billing and coding. Correctly bill patients for services and accurately document to support charges.

Position Summary The GYN ONC Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works under the clinical supervision of the GYN Oncologists . The role builds upon general advanced provider training and skill sets by requiring specialty focus in women’s services, chemotherapy management, and pre-and post-surgical follow-up. The APP maintains a case load of patients and bills appropriately for services rendered. Vascular Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary The nurse practitioner (NP) is responsible for assuring quality care and best practice for select vascular patients in collaboration with their supervising physician. The NP shall attend professional education programs to keep current with accepted changes in practice and to satisfy continuing education requirements of the state.
