Key Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted Missouri RN license (verified via Nursys; no disciplinary history)
Recent pediatric experience strongly preferred (especially ICU, ER, or school nursing)
Confident working independently as the primary health professional on-site after initial training
Proficient with computer-based charting and strong multitasking abilities
Comfortable caring for PreK through high school students, adapting nursing care as needed
Flexible schedule availabilitywilling to accept week-to-week and day-of assignment changes
Strong communicator, able to interface professionally with students, staff, and families
Not a new graduate; solid, hands-on clinical experience in pediatric settings required

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to students across multiple school sites, including first aid, illness assessment, and medication administration
Independently operate school health rooms after a comprehensive two-week orientation
Accompany students on field trips as assigned, ensuring safety and health needs are met
Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and manage confidential student information
Respond to urgent health concerns or call-outs by prioritizing and adapting quickly to new sites
Serve as a valuable resource for general health education and wellness within the district

Anticipate weekly hours between 35-40 with varied shifts (starting between 7:00am9:00am and ending by 2:30pm4:30pm), depending on assignment and school level.
