Our Bloomfield location at West Penn School of Nursing offers a full-time program that prepares you for the RN licensure exam in just 22 months. The diploma nursing program at West Penn Hospital School of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides classroom and clinical instruction and evaluation of students; Contributes to functions of Faculty Organization to recruit and admit students, develop, implement and evaluate the program.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaches classroom theory for assigned courses which include course development, creation of outlines, syllabi, bibliographies, teaching materials and examinations according to school policy to insure instruction is current and relevant. (30%)
  • Provides clinical instruction and supervision in the clinical area to assist the student in socialization, skill development and the correlation of classroom theory to clinical area. (30%)
  • Evaluates student performance in the classroom and in the clinical area according to school policy to insure the promotion and graduation of students. (15%)
  • Contributes to the Faculty Organization and its standing committees as assigned to carry out the functions of the organization. (15%)
  • Contributes to the annual systematic evaluation activities to improve program quality and maintain accreditation. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Master's Degree in Nursing required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire
  • Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • 2 years experience in clinical area of direct responsibility may be required depending on specialty
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • Two years teaching experience in a school of nursing
  • Specialty experience of Med/Surg plus: ICU/Critical Care, Peds/OB, Behavioral Health/Psych

$5k Retention Bonus We are actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager to provide care to hospice patients. Our office is located in Murrysville, PA. Looking for a RNCM for a territory that is around Beaver County and surrounding areas. Qualifications Registered Nurse from an Accredited program currently licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. One to 2 years’ experience in nursing in an acute care setting or 1-year experience in home health, hospice or comparable experience is preferred. Desire to learn and demonstration of aptitude for the hospice philosophy and comfort care required. II. Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Registered Nurse is to coordinate and provide the highest level of hospice care to patients and families. The Registered Nurse works in conjunction with the, Director of Nursing (DON), Executive Director and the Interdisciplinary Team to: · provide hands-on clinical nursing, interacting with patients, family, physicians, Interdisciplinary Team members, and other health care professionals involved in the patient’s care. · assess and coordinate a pain/symptom management program formulated with the participation of family and patient, attending physician and the Interdisciplinary Team, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods of pain/symptom control to enhance quality of life. · assist in facilitating freedom of choice, relief of suffering and death with dignity for patients facing end of life issues. · provide support and education for families based on the hospice philosophy of care.
