The responsibilities include providing nursing care tailored to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role also entails promoting continuity of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met. As a team member, an RN must be comfortable delegating and supervising support nursing staff who participate in the provision of care.
