Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1.     Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.

2.     Current CPR/BLS and Handle with Care certifications (offered onsite).

3.     Preferred two years of psychiatric experience.

4.     Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred. 

5.     Previous supervisory experience preferred.

 

Position Purpose:

This position functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the Nursing Department. The Nursing Supervisor is an accomplished nursing leader who is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily needs of the Nursing Department to include supervising and coordinating activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity of patient care on assigned shift. The position provides an administrative role in the absence of the CNO.

Overview The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will work with a team of physicians, other nurses, patient care techs, and other professionals from various departments of the hospital such as Laboratory, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy. CRHS ED is a certified Level III Trauma Center, AR SAVES spoke site and receiving site, and a designated Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital (ArSRH). The ED RN is part of a team that provides care for traumatically injured patients, and critically ill patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as Heart Attack or Stroke. The ED RN works alongside the team with the common goal of providing compassionate, quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a fast paced environment. The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The ED RN must have a mind that is always assessing and triaging patient complaints and conditions with efficiency and accuracy. The ED RN must be skilled in maintaining proper lines of communication with the health care team, patients, and families.
