Job Description:
Location: Lancaster, PA
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, 40 hours/week. M-F 0730-4 with on-call one week a month.
Summary:
- Position Summary: Provides nursing services, including Assists with maintaining Employee Health files, tracking and administering immunizations, Employee Health record maintenance, and first aid care and triage of injured employees. Assists with safety and prevention of work related injuries and compliance with OSHA standards such as the respiratory fit test program. Provides assistance to the Employee Health and Safety Manager and coordinates the day to day flow within the department.
- Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
- Maintains confidential and accurate employee health records. Notifies and schedules employees for immunizations, maintains supply of immunizations, and administers immunizations according to written standing orders. Coordinates annual flu immunizations. Coordinates administration and reading of TB skin tests. Annually sends questionnaires to individuals with previously positive TB skin test. Provides first aid to injured employees and directs to appropriate follow up care if needed. Emails immunization records to employees as requested. Orders and maintains supplies for Employee Health. Assists with work related and non-work related tele-health. Administers TB skin tests to inpatients. Greets individuals entering Employee Health Service’s office and provides appropriate customer service.
- The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
- Assists with reasonable suspicion drug screening. Assists with management of health records: filing, scanning and sending records to storage. Assists with health promotion projects. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse RN or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN , issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR Certification.
- A minimum of two 2 years of LPN or RN experience.
- EMD or first aid experience.
- Previous experience with Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Previous experience with immunization administration.
Credentials:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
- Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
