Charge Nurse (RN)  - Psychiatric

 

Part-time position located at Rehabilitation Hospital in Corona, CA 

 

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services the Charge RN is an RN with clinical expertise who directs the patient care activities during their assigned shift. This position provides care to adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patients and their treatment plan as well as counseling and education for patient's families.Follows the nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to assure optimal outcomes. Accountable for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.)

Qualifications

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience required. One year working with geriatric population required.
Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.

 

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

 

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Current California Registered Nurse license required. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
