Meadow Falls of Saybrook, a senior living community dedicated to providing Assisted Living & Memory Care for seniors, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Executive Director to provide high-quality care to our residents. If you are passionate about working with seniors and have a strong foundation in basic care, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Record patients' medical histories accurately

  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate

  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, and other relevant information

  • Monitor patients' conditions and compose patient charts

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, bathing, and dressing

  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, and other basic medical care tasks

  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

  • Provide emotional and psychological support to residents and their families

  • Communicate with families and friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions

Skills:

  • Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role

  • Ability to perform a variety of diverse care tasks and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

  • Familiarity with facility health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures

  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology

  • Good knowledge of eMAR

  • Perfect physical condition and stamina

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate and able to handle stress

  • Successful completion of LPN license program

  • CPR
