Lead Clinical Excellence in Senior Living

Charter Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, experienced Director of Nursing / Health & Wellness Director to lead clinical operations in our Chattanooga community.

This is an ideal opportunity for an LPN leader who is passionate about resident-centered care, team development, and regulatory excellence. In this role, you will oversee nursing services, support staff performance, and ensure residents receive high-quality, personalized care.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Leadership

  • Oversee all nursing services in Assisted Living and Memory Care

  • Ensure accurate resident assessments and individualized care plans

  • Monitor resident health status and coordinate with physicians

  • Maintain medication management and clinical documentation standards

  • Support infection control and quality assurance initiatives

Team Management

  • Supervise and coach nurses, caregivers, and medication aides

  • Support staffing, scheduling, and team development

  • Foster a positive, accountable clinical culture

  • Partner with the Executive Director and department leaders

Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain state and federal regulatory compliance

  • Ensure survey readiness and policy adherence

  • Monitor incident reports and implement corrective actions

  • Promote resident safety and satisfaction

Qualifications

Required

  • Active LPN license (state of Tennessee or eligible)

  • Prior experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or skilled nursing

  • Previous leadership experience (DON, Resident Care Director, Health & Wellness Director, or similar)

Preferred

  • Assisted Living or Memory Care leadership experience

  • Strong knowledge of state regulations

  • Experience with care planning and clinical systems
