The key responsibility of this position will be to directly supervise the nursing staff on assigned shifts by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care. Conduct nursing rounds on each unit consistently throughout the shift. You must be able to provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members and ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. This opportunity awaits a dedicated, compassionate and responsible RN with great communication skills to be a vital link between our patients, families, nurses and other facility staff.

Responsibilities Include

·         Complete Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff

·         Maintain Nursing guidelines and establish a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and their families

·         Provide information to Residents and Staff by answering questions and requests

·         Maintain safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations

·         Maintain Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing

·         Maintain documentation of Resident care services by auditing Resident and department records

·         Maintain nursing supplies inventory and other responsibilities as required

·         Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

·         Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.

 

Other Requirements: 

·         Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

·         Must hold a Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License

·         Able to Communicate Clearly in English Verbally and in Writing

·         Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills

·         Long term care experience and strong Bedside Manner

·         Ability to work together in Supporting a Team Atmosphere
