We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to lead clinical operations within our Sub-acute care unit. The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on assigned unit

  • Coordinate and oversee resident care plans and clinical services

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations

  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

  • Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and workflow

  • Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists

  • Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality reviews

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • Current RN or LPN license in NJ.

  • Minimum 2–3 years nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
