We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to lead clinical operations within our Sub-acute care unit. The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on assigned unit
Coordinate and oversee resident care plans and clinical services
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and workflow
Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists
Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
Participate in audits, inspections, and quality reviews
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
Qualifications
Current RN or LPN license in NJ.
Minimum 2–3 years nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
