Louisville Gardens in Louisville, OH is growing — and we’re looking for compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team.

We are expanding our services and hiring CNAs to support residents in:

• Our New Dementia Unit
• Our New Ventilator Unit
• Our Long-Term Care Community

CNAs will be expected to work in all units as needed to support resident care and ensure strong teamwork across the building. Cross-training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily activities while promoting dignity and independence
Monitor resident conditions and report changes to licensed nursing staff
Provide companionship and emotional support
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
Support specialized care needs within Dementia, Vent, and Long-Term Care units
Float between units as needed to meet staffing and resident care needs

Qualifications:

Active Ohio CNA certification required
Long-term care experience preferred
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in multiple units

A caregiver who excels in this role will: Prepare units, patient rooms and patient beds for receiving patient admission, returning surgical patients, transfers or emergencies. Provide and document assigned care, such as bathing, changing/refreshing bed linens, dressing/undressing, feeding, etc. Take and document the patient's temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, weight and height. Perform treatment procedures, such as venous blood draws, enemas, application of ice and heat packs, non-sterile compresses, skin preps, setting up oxygen equipment, bed scale weights, setting up overhead trapeze and Buck’s traction. Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care, such as turning and positioning patients with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment and ambulating the patient as directed in a safe, prescribed manner. Assist and accompany patients during admission, transfer and discharge. Perform hourly safety rounds, anticipate patient needs and respond to patient call lights promptly. Collect, properly label and transport specimens to proper area. Document patient care in the electronic medical record. Assist in keeping patient rooms in order, report equipment that is out of order, clean equipment and inventory and distribute unit linen and supplies. Complete ongoing competency requirements, education programs and mandatory training to maintain certification and/or licensure.
