Position Overview: The ADNS assists in managing the department of nursing and assumes responsibility delegated by the Director of Nursing Services (DNS). Key Responsibilities: Assist in interviewing applicants and recommend hiring of staff and scheduling. Participate in orientation and in-service education training. Participate in performance reviews and personnel files; enforce the personnel policies of the community, including disciplining and terminating care team members. Assist DNS in ensuring compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel and ensuring that all regional policies/procedures are implemented. Assist with care planning process. Make rounds daily to direct the work of care team members and to observe for hazards, work duty problems, and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with needs. Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement and corrective follow-up actions. Follow up daily on each unit to ensure changes in status are reported and recorded and that services are provided. Under the direction of the DNS, complete chart audits and report results and progress, and makes recommendations for improvement to the DNS. Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized. Maintain effective communication with families, residents and community staff. Qualifications: Current RN license by State Board of Nursing in state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Experience in the long-term care or working with the geriatric population preferred. Must have at least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience. Position Overview: The SRNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The SRNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a State Registered Nurse Aide in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
