Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center is currently seeking a skilled, compassionate, dedicated, and driven Unit Manager, RN or LPN to welcome our ever-growing team! The primary purpose of your job position is to support the Director of Nursing in facilitating the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all time.

Responsibilities of the Unit Manager, RN or LPN:

Manage the work activities of the assigned department(s) to include the Nurses and STNAs.
Served as patient/family advocate to facilitate patient care, communication and resolutions of problems and ethical dilemmas.
Ensure accurate, effective, and pertinent communication for all staff and shifts as well as through the chain of command.
Assist DON/ADON with promoting positive employee relations. Demonstrates a leadership style that encourages staff accountability.
Provides direct care to residents, as needed, to maintain clinical skills.
Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements of the Unit Manager, RN or LPN:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
2 Years of nursing experience
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in nursing supervision/management in long-term care, which includes direct care of the aged or chronically ill.
CPR Certification
Will be required to take on-call rotation with Administrative Nurses.
