Job Description – Senior Caregiver
Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves (aged 50+), make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort our care receiver’s home.

SHS empowers seniors to continue to live independent lives by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

  • Enjoy working with our senior population

  • Be a caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable individual

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan

  • Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job

  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS

  • Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

  • Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…

  • Shopping and Errands

  • Medication Reminders

  • Overnight Supervision

  • Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family or their favorite restaurant

Personal Care Duties may include:

  • Assist with Dressing

  • Assist with Feeding

  • Assist with Showering / Bathing

  • Mobility Assistance

  • Assist with Toileting / Incontinence

  • Memory Care
