Key Responsibilities
· Wound Examination and Management: Conduct thorough examination of wounds, including pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, and surgical wounds. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
· Patient Care: Provide direct wound care, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control measures. Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
· Preventive measures to promote healing and prevent recurrence.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress treatment plans
Qualifications
Education: Licensed in the state of NY, Certification as a Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or similar credentials is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in wound care or a related nursing specialty is highly desirable. Familiarity with various wound care products and techniques is essential.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
