Responsibilities of an (ADON) Assistant Director of Nursing:
Nursing Leadership Clinical Oversight (ADON Functions)

Supervision: Oversees nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Clinical Quality: Conducts regular clinical rounds to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the facility meets state and federal standards (e.g., CMS regulations) and participates in regulatory inspections.

Operational Support: Oversees staff scheduling to ensure adequate 24/7 coverage of our facility.

Emergency Response: Acts as a resource for medical emergencies and addresses grievances or concerns from our staff, residents and families.
Qualifications for an (ADON) Assistant Director of Nursing/Staff Development:

A degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
