Qualifications for Certified Medication Assistant

Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of RI.
Previous CMA experience required and must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant or HHA.
Experience in administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications, and subcutaneous injections is required.

Must have knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administrating simple treatments and providing related bedside resident-care service. Must have a good understanding of standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
