Helping Hearts USA LLC is growing, and we are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to join our team in a meaningful ongoing role supporting a bed-bound client.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring for an ongoing overnight caregiver position.
Applicants must be available to work these set overnight shifts consistently:

  • Monday nights

  • Wednesday nights

  • Thursday nights

This is an ongoing schedule, so applicants must be able to reliably commit to all three nights each week.

Client Needs

This client is bed-bound and requires full hands-on assistance with daily care needs. Caregivers must be comfortable providing complete ADL support, frequent repositioning, incontinence care, overnight monitoring, and safe transfer assistance using a Hoyer lift when needed.

This role requires a caregiver who is attentive, gentle, dependable, and experienced in providing safe, respectful care to clients with limited mobility.

What You’ll Do

Bed-Bound ADL Support

Provide full assistance with all activities of daily living, including:

  • Bathing and bed baths

  • Grooming and personal hygiene

  • Dressing assistance

  • Oral care

  • Toileting and incontinence care

  • Brief changes

  • Linen changes as needed

  • Skin observation and reporting

  • Assistance with feeding or meal setup as needed

  • Hydration support

  • Maintaining client comfort, dignity, and cleanliness throughout the shift

Check, Change, and Repositioning

Caregivers will be responsible for routine overnight care, including:

  • Checking the client regularly throughout the shift

  • Changing the client every 2 to 4 hours, or as needed

  • Repositioning the client every 2 hours to promote comfort, circulation, and skin integrity

  • Monitoring for signs of skin breakdown, redness, discomfort, or other changes in condition

  • Ensuring the client remains clean, dry, safe, and comfortable at all times

Hoyer Lift Support

Caregivers must be comfortable assisting with or performing transfers using a Hoyer lift, following all safety procedures and care plan instructions. Experience with safe transfer techniques and mobility support is strongly preferred.

Overnight Monitoring and Support

Provide attentive overnight supervision and remain alert to the client’s needs throughout the shift. This includes:

  • Monitoring comfort and safety

  • Responding promptly to care needs

  • Observing for changes in physical condition, mood, or behavior

  • Reporting concerns accurately and professionally

Companionship

Offer calm, respectful companionship and emotional support while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity to the client’s preferences and overnight routine.

Light Housekeeping

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Duties may include:

  • Tidying the client’s area

  • Laundry

  • Changing bed linens

  • Sanitizing high-touch surfaces

  • Assisting with basic household tasks related to the client’s care

Meal Preparation

Prepare light meals or snacks as needed and assist with hydration support according to the care plan.

Health Observation

Observe and report changes in the client’s physical condition, mood, skin integrity, behavior, or overall well-being. Follow care instructions carefully and communicate any concerns promptly.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience required

  • Experience caring for bed-bound clients required or strongly preferred

  • Experience with Hoyer lift transfers preferred

  • Experience with full ADL support, repositioning, and incontinence care required

  • Reliable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented

  • Strong attendance and dependability

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts

  • Ability to follow directions and document appropriately

  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently

Documentation Requirements

Applicants must be prepared to provide:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Social Security card

  • Birth certificate

  • Proof of high school graduation or equivalent

  • Proof of identity and work authorization in compliance with Form I-9 requirements

Additional Employment Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must pass a comprehensive background check

  • Must complete a drug screening if applicable

  • Must provide five professional references
    No friends or family members

Important Schedule Requirement
