Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Oncology Nurse Navigator functions on a multidisciplinary team, acting as an advocate, an educator and a coordinator of care for Oncology patients. Participates in the patient survivorship program based on site requirements. The Navigator participates in reporting on identified measures. Refers patients to appropriate supportive services and community resources. Assesses clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, financial and other patient needs. Works with a multidisciplinary team to provide improved comprehensive oncology services to patients and assists in training and education of oncology staff. Serves as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management in reinforcing education with patients & families, in addition to providing input on educational materials. Participates in cancer screening, prevention and educational events as appropriate for the site.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 3 years Nursing

Licensure/Certification: Current state RN license. Current certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS. Oncology or navigation certification within 3 years of hire

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BSN

Experience: 3 years Oncology Nursing Oncology or navigation certification
