A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Sarasota, FL area is looking to bring on a knowledgeable and organized MDS Coordinator to support its clinical operations team. This role offers the chance to make a direct impact on resident outcomes while collaborating with a strong, team-oriented staff.
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
Oversee the completion of MDS assessments and ensure accuracy and timeliness
Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
Work closely with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
Conduct regular chart audits to ensure proper documentation standards are met
Serve as a resource to staff for MDS-related questions and best practices
Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN license required
Minimum of 1–2 years of MDS experience within a skilled nursing facility
Working knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI guidelines, and regulatory standards
Experience with electronic medical records/documentation systems
Strong attention to detail with solid communication and organizational skills
