POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Health and Wellness (LPN) supports the Director of Health and Wellness in overseeing the daily clinical operations of the community, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the acting Director in their absence and collaborates closely with leadership to maintain operational and clinical excellence. The position reports directly to the Director of Health and Wellness, with indirect accountability to the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

     Assume leadership of the Health and Wellness department in the absence of the Director, ensuring continuity of care and operations.

     Oversee daily clinical functions, including resident care delivery, staff assignments, and departmental workflow.

     Ensure compliance with all company policies, standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

     Supervise, coach, and support nursing staff, including involvement in hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

     Coordinate and complete resident assessments to determine admission eligibility and ongoing care needs.

     Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing training of clinical policies and procedures.

     Professionally assists marketing department with community tours, exhibits excellent customer service skills in dealing with prospective residents and their families both in person and on the telephone.

     Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

     A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     Must be an LPN of the state.

     Must be Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified or willing to become certified.

     Supervisory experience in a healthcare / senior living community is preferred.

Shifts available are 7am- 7pm at $35/hr base will receive an additional $1/hr for each additional client admitted. This location currently has 1 client and two pending over next month. Shifts rotate every other week to accomaodate a every other weekend rotation. 1st week: Sat, Sun, Mon, Thur 2ND week: Tues, Wed then weekend. Note this is a group home we can admit up to 5 individuals (Rate increase for each new patient admitted). There is also home health aide present for personal care. The ideal candidate will have one year nursing experience. Bay Area Direct Client Care has an immediate openings for experienced LPNs. We currently are offering Per diem hours with a commitment of two shifts a month at $40/hr. Failure to meet two shifts a month will result in reduction of hourly rate to $30/hr in future shifts. Current shifts available at our Ruskin location 7p-7am Saturdays maybe additional opportunities during the week . Payment is 2 business days post shift. This is a a group home with current 4 patients with a Home health Aid present for support. These are medically complex individuals with Trach, feeding tube and ventilator.
