Two compassionate and experienced nurses are needed for 1:1 positions, with responsibilities extending into classroom and clinic coverage. Key Qualifications:

  • Active Missouri RN or LPN license in good standing (no disciplinary actions)
  • Recent pediatric experience required—ICU, ER, or school nursing highly preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in gastrostomy tube and tracheostomy care (depending on assignment)
  • Confident using computers for charting and multitasking in a busy setting
  • Flexibility to work with students from PreK through 12th grade
  • Comfortable riding the school bus with students to and from school
  • Reliable and able to adapt to field trips, schedule changes, and various building assignments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to support classroom needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive 1:1 nursing care for a special needs 4th grader (seizure disorder, G-tube, wheelchair) OR a preschooler with a trach
  • Support other students in the SPED classroom as needed
  • Accompany student from their home to school, ensuring safe transportation
  • Fill in as a district clinic nurse or support nursing staff elsewhere in the district when assigned student is absent
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
