Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Skilled Nursing Unit for night shifts. Position Summary

The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care to residents in the Skilled Nursing Unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity during overnight hours.

Schedule

  • PRN (as needed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and report changes to RN/provider
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policy
  • Respond to patient needs promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

  • Current Florida LPN license (active and in good standing)
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day activities performed by the Nursing Assistants.
