As Assistant Director of Health and Wellness, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role:

As the Assistant Director of Health and Wellness, your role includes supporting the Director of Health and Wellness in coordinating resident health and wellness, overseeing personal care staffing, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and state regulations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with the Director of Health and Wellness to coordinate and oversee clinical operations and resident care
  • Create and manage schedules for personal care staff, ensuring adequate coverage and timely posting
  • Respond to staffing call-offs, filling shifts or stepping in personally to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Ensure community compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to clinical care and safety
  • Participate in resident assessments and service planning, ensuring care needs are accurately documented and regularly reviewed
  • Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate changes in resident service needs and levels of care
  • Maintain communication with residents’ families and responsible parties regarding health updates or changes in care
  • Administer or observe medications and treatments in compliance with state medication administration regulations
  • Promote resident independence, dignity, and safety through daily interactions and personalized care
  • Respond promptly to resident, family, or staff concerns, reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness as needed
  • Participate in change-of-shift reporting, incident reporting, and monthly service plan updates
  • Support infection control, biohazard handling, and general health and hygiene standards across the community
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), as required by state regulations
  • Experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care preferred
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience preferred, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong assessment, triage, and medication administration skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to resident-centered care, safety, and wellness

JOB SUMMARY Dir Surgical Services is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the full spectrum of surgical patient care for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH), which includes all clinical and nursing care in surgery preparation units, operating rooms, post-anesthesia care units, telemetry units, outpatient surgery suites, or other patient holding/receiving surgical areas. Directs, organizes, and evaluates all patient care services provided in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative surgical areas in BSWH hospitals, clinics, or ambulatory care facilities. May direct and coordinate a variety of clinical duties, including cleanliness and safety of surgical environments, control of medications, preparation and post-care of surgical patients, and management of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
