Staffed 24/7 by board-certified Obstetricians and Certified Nurse Midwives, our multidisciplinary team—including RNs, LNAs, Health Unit Coordinators, lactation consultants, and pediatric and obstetric providers—delivers compassionate, expert care in a seamless environment that includes a Level II Special Care Nursery with Mass General-affiliated Neonatologists. We promote ongoing education and certification in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and obstetric emergency management to ensure safe, personalized care for every family.

About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team, The Birth Place (BP) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during ante-, intra- and post-partum periods and includes in-unit Cesarean and other gynecological procedures.

  • Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establishes goals to meet the patient’s needs
  • Integrate patient values, best practice, and evidence into patient care
  • Engage patients and/or families in the care delivery
  • Function competently within own scope of practice
  • Utilize a communication style/practice to meet the needs of the team and/or the situation

Who You Are:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery

DYS Northeast Health Services is a program of Justice Resource Institute contracted to provide comprehensive health care for adolescent males in residential detention and treatment placement at the Department of Youth Services in the Northeast Region. Schedule: 40 hours per week Compensation The pay range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. In this role, you will: The Nurse Manager will lead the health care team in assessing the individual health statuses of youth in residential placements at the Department of Youth Services. This role will require critical thinking and the ability to make independent judgments regarding primary care, as well as diagnosing and managing both episodic and chronic illnesses. Collaborate with health care team members to create, implement, and document a health care plan that considers the youth's life context, culture, and developmental stage. Enhance clinical practices and patient outcomes while fostering positive change and professional growth within the care delivery system. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards and protocols aimed at improving clinical practices and program effectiveness. Supervise the hiring and orientation processes for new Health Services staff members. Ensure compliance with required one-time and annual training sessions. Attend state-wide DYS Health Services meetings and engage in task forces as appropriate. Requirements: Must be 21 years or older. Graduate of an accredited graduate nursing program. Will consider a new NP with demonstrated experience as a registered nurse with the pediatric and adolescent population. Valid DEA and MCS licenses for prescriptive practice.
