Qualifications of the RN Nurse Manager-Nursing Home:

Must have NY RN license
Must have at least one year in long-term care or sub-acute care
Must have a minimum of three years of nursing experience
Current CPR Certification and Accu- Chek and IV Therapy Certification required
Annual CEU Compliance
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Must have excellent communication skills

Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager-Nursing Home:

Orient clinical staff to their job responsibilities and provide leadership in clinical problem solving.
Nurse will evaluate and schedule in-services/training as needed.
Ensure department activities and records are in adherence to AAAHC and various licensing and regulatory requirements.
Provide opportunities for professional development and training to improve nursing skills and knowledge.
Address staffing concerns, handle disciplinary actions, and mediate conflicts.
