Qualifications of the RN Nurse Manager-Nursing Home:

  • Must have NY RN license
  • Must have at least one year in long-term care or sub-acute care
  • Must have a minimum of three years of nursing experience
  • Current CPR Certification and Accu- Chek and IV Therapy Certification required
  •  Annual CEU Compliance
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
 

Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager-Nursing Home:

  • Orient clinical staff to their job responsibilities and provide leadership in clinical problem solving.
  • Nurse will evaluate and schedule in-services/training as needed.
  • Ensure department activities and records are in adherence to AAAHC and various licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide opportunities for professional development and training to improve nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Address staffing concerns, handle disciplinary actions, and mediate conflicts.
