As a Hospice Registered Nurse You will:    

  • Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients 
  • Create hospice care plans that align with the patients wishes and goals   
  • Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions 
  • Provide pain and symptom management  
  • Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers 
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation  
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation 
  • One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred 
  • Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred 
  • Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care 
  • Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence 
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Overview The Registered Nurse Float III provides individualized nursing care services within the standards of nursing practice: assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, evaluation, and patient health education. This RN Float III will float between the Med Surg and Critical Care areas or other areas as assigned. Responsibilities Perform accurate and complete assessments on patients within established time frames; requests consult as indicated. Establishes and updates a patient plan of care based on periodic assessments. Assists with providing for the physical comfort and safety of patients (i.e. bath and linen changes, administration of medication(s), dietary intake, and other necessary treatments). Overview The Wound Care RN provides consultation and treatment of wounds, pressure injuries and ostomies. The Wound Care RN interacts with multiple disciplines, working closely with nurses, allied health clinicians and providers to deliver services to patients in all areas of the hospital. Responsibilities Wound Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessment of wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, burns, diabetic ulcers, and other acute or chronic wounds Identify the type, severity and stage of wounds and document findings accurately in the electronic health record.
