Role Overview:
- Deliver one-on-one nursing care for a medically fragile student within a school environment
- Position is onsite only, supporting student needs during the school day
- Contract dates span from July 31, 2026 to May 28, 2027, with up to 37.5 hours per week, depending on student attendance
- Hours will fluctuate as the student may miss time; no make up hours are available when the student is absent
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in the state of Georgia is required
- Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or related environments highly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in schedule based on student attendance
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach and readiness for 1:1 care
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support the complex medical needs of a specific student throughout the school day
- Collaborate with school and district staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain clear and accurate health documentation and communication with parents or guardians as necessary
- Serve as an advocate for the student’s health and safety within the school community
- Adhere to established protocols and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of student care
