Summary:

Responsible for nursing care of assigned residents, assessing conditions and making appropriate nursing decisions within the scope of nursing licensure; and ensuring the Cedar Sinai Park goal of providing care to our residents in an atmosphere of comfort, independence and dignity.

Essential Functions

  • Provides direction and guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medication Aides in unit care of residents. Evaluates completion of duties and makes reassignments as necessary to ensure provision of service to the residents. Assists with the orientation of new staff.
  • Observes, documents, and reports any significant changes in the resident's condition that warrant medical and/or nursing intervention. Completes paperwork for resident physician appointments, transfers, and discharges. Gathers data for entry into the clinical record.
  • Assures the provision of nursing services and takes action to ensure fulfilling resident wishes and promoting the least restrictive alternative of care.
  • Provides direct resident care when needed.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • 1 – 3 years’ similar experience required.
  • Current licensure in the state of Oregon as a Registered Nurse required. Must be in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

Department Overview Family Medicine at Scappoose is a primary care Family Medicine clinic and Rural Health Center (RHC). The patient population includes pregnant people, babies, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
