Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties:
Oversee and support the delivery of nursing care to meet the medical needs of all residents
Coordinate and monitor infection control practices to ensure compliance and resident safety
Provide ongoing education, training, and support to nursing staff
Assist with regulatory compliance and promote effective communication across all levels of the nursing team
Help coordinate and direct the overall planning and delivery of nursing services
Maintain a strong working knowledge of nursing practices, policies, and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records and documentation
Assist with recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff
Oversee daily staffing processes to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the facility and residents
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in a long-term care setting required
Prior management or leadership experience preferred
Previous staff education or training experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising nursing staff
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
