Position Overview: Admission Resource Nurse
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care during the admission process while ensuring accuracy, safety, and continuity of care. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and provide guidance to nursing staff throughout your shift.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough admission assessments and completing documentation in a timely manner
Coordinating communication between admissions, nursing, psychiatry, and medical teams
Administering medications and ensuring physician orders are implemented accurately
Monitoring patient health, addressing medical concerns, and maintaining detailed records
Responding to behavioral crises as part of the safety team
Supporting and mentoring nursing staff during the shift
Ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, and clinical standards
Assisting with patient education, staff training, and quality improvement efforts
This position offers a balance of direct patient care, coordination, and leadership.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
3–6 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical & Work Environment
