Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold a current School Nurse certification and a valid RN license in Illinois, fully compliant with local and state requirements
  • Bring at least three years of recent experience in a school nurse capacity, preferably with elementary or middle school students
  • Possess thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and protocols for delivering school health services
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff

Preferred Experience:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly valued
  • Current CPR and PALS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily routine and emergency nursing care, utilizing sound clinical judgment and compassion
  • Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and manage care plans for students with chronic or acute conditions
  • Respond to injuries and health emergencies with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Document all encounters in accordance with school and district policies
