Responsibilities

As a PCA, you’ll provide essential support with daily living activities, including:

Personal care: bathing, dressing, shaving, etc.
Medication reminders
Assisting with range of motion exercises
Helping with mobility around the home
Providing dementia care
Light housekeeping: vacuuming, dishes, laundry, bed linens, etc.
Preparing meals and snacks
Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
Offering companionship through conversation, music, puzzles, and more

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum 6 months of experience as a HHA/PCA in home care or healthcare facilities
Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (insured vehicle or adequate public transit access)
