Join our team at Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Barnstable, Massachusetts, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Nursing Staff Development Director, you will have the opportunity to direct educational programs for our nursing department and ensure that our staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.

Full-time role. Can be an LPN or RN. $40 to $45 an hour if an LPN, $45 to $50 if an RN. Cape Regency is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure the knowledge and skills of personnel
• Conduct job-specific orientation for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars
• Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff
• Maintain staff development records accurately and timely
• Conduct C.N.A. training programs as required by the facility
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
• Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations

Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in Massachusetts
• Must be CPR certified
• Must have as a minimum, one (1) year Nursing Supervisor experience in a long-term care facility
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
