Step into a rewarding opportunity as a registered nurse supporting the care and education of a young student in a school environment. This contract position is onsite only and runs from June 1 to June 26, 2026, offering more than 30 hours per week at a campus near Jersey City, NJ. You’ll play an essential role in supporting one preschool-aged student who is non-ambulatory and requires NG tube care. Your specialized nursing skills will help the student thrive and participate safely in their educational setting. Some duties may also extend to assisting with bussing as needed, ensuring the student's health and safety throughout the school day and transportation.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license required
  • Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Skills in NG tube management and care are essential
  • Comfortable providing care to non-ambulatory students
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school setting
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach, especially with young children
  • Flexibility for possible bussing/transport support

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, one-on-one clinical care for the assigned student
  • Monitor and manage NG tube feedings and medical needs
  • Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Collaborate with educators, aides, and support staff to promote student well-being
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed, including during transport if required
