Department Highlights
- Active established UBC that collaborates with other departments
- Pathway to Excellence Designation 2024
- 50% of ED RN's participate in the Nursing Career Advancement Program
- Nursing Diploma Nursing is required Or
- Associate's Degree Nursing is required Or
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. is required
- 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. is preferred
- 1 year Emergency department charge nurse is strongly preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire is required And
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days is required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required And
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required And
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required Or
- ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required And
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months is required
