Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN or LPN/LVN license required
- Previous experience working in pediatrics, schools, or with individuals who have complex medical needs
- Skilled in seizure management and emergency response protocols
- Comfortable providing care to non-verbal, wheelchair-using students
- CPR and First Aid certification up to date
- Compassionate, patient, and skilled at building rapport with children and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 medical care for a student during bus transportation to and from school each day
- Monitor, assess, and respond to seizures or other health concerns during transport
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and general comfort for a wheelchair-bound, non-verbal student
- Document all care provided and communicate pertinent information to school staff and families as needed
- Uphold safety standards and foster a supportive, respectful environment for the student
