Enjoy a diverse work schedule, alternating between elementary school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm) and secondary school hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–2:15pm). As an itinerant nurse, you’ll travel to various campuses, offering vital healthcare services and building trusted relationships with both students and staff.

What you’ll bring:

• Active RN license with experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of the Nurse Practice Act
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Comfort with traveling between school locations throughout the week
• Ability to confidently handle both routine and emergency health situations

Daily responsibilities include:

• Performing health screenings (height, weight, vision, hearing, scoliosis) and managing referrals and follow-ups for at-risk students
• Responding to emergencies with prompt, effective nursing care for students and staff facing acute illness or injury
• Monitoring immunization and communicable disease compliance, ensuring students meet state health requirements
• Providing routine healthcare and administering prescribed medications under proper authorization procedures
• Managing and ordering medical office supplies for smooth clinic operations
• Collaborating with school teams to maintain a healthy, safe educational environment
